Homeowner Workshops

Meet expert attorneys, lenders, housing counselors, and the San Francisco Mayor’s Office of Housing and Community Development, learn about relevant homeowner topics, and get updates for Below Market Rate and Down Payment Assistance Loan Program homeowners.

Post-Purchase Education Requirement

If you purchase a home using one of the San Francisco homebuyer programs, you will be required to attend at least 6 hours of post-purchase education workshops within 24 months of the purchase of your property.

How Does it Work?

1. As a part of your closing costs, you will pay a $200 rebate-eligible deposit, to be held by HomeownershipSF.
2. After closing escrow, check out this page to register for eligible workshops.
•Topics include Home Maintenance, Refinance, Homeowners Associations (HOA’s), Property and Income Taxes, and more!
3. Once you have completed 6 hours of eligible homeowner workshops, you will receive your rebate.

2 hour workshops take place about once a month. Additional workshops will be posted here in the late summer.
