San Francisco Urban Community Housing Corporation (SF Urban CHC) and Homeownership San Francisco (HomeownershipSF) are hosting a forum with select San Francisco Supervisorial Candidates and housing policy experts to explore affordable homeownership opportunities in San Francisco. "Achieving Affordable Homeownership Goals in San Francisco" will be held on Wednesday, May 12, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at St. Mary's Cathedral, 1111 Gough Street in San Francisco.
Homeownership does not just provide people a place to live - it provides them with the potential to build assets and a stake in their community. Yet, homeownership is not easy to attain in San Francisco due to the lack of affordability and availability of homes. Candidates from Districts 6, 8 and 10 will share their views on how to help more working class families achieve homeownership in San Francisco in advance of the Supervisorial elections.
