First Time Homebuyer Workshop (6hr)

When and Where?

Sep 22, 2018 10:00am - 4:00pm
The San Francisco LGBT Community Center
1800 Market Street
San Francisco, CA, 94102

The housing market has changed dramatically over the past many years. Inventory is lower than ever, prices are higher than ever. That said, there are some fantastic, affordable options to buy your first home in the city. Learn to manage the home-buying process as a series of smaller steps and understand who is involved at various points in the home-buying process. In this workshop you will learn about the various homeownership types in San Francisco including Below Market Rate (BMR) units. We will review Federal and City level first time homebuyer assistance programs and the criteria to qualify for these programs.

This workshop series is approved by the San Francisco Mayor's Office of Housing and offers a certificate in homebuyer education upon completion of the series. This workshop will be presented in partnership with BALANCE.

Note: this workshop is 6 hours long. Please arrive on time. Attendees who arrive more than 15 minutes late will not be admitted to the workshop and will not be able to receive credit for attending.
